Every year Cambridge students use their Cambridge International AS & A Level qualifications to enter top universities within New Zealand and abroad. Results from a 2020 survey (PDF, 1MB) showed that New Zealand students and parents value the depth and coverage of learning in the Cambridge curriculum, and that they chose Cambridge for its international recognition.
New Zealand schools implement the Cambridge Pathway in different ways. Some schools offer the full Cambridge programme, while others adopt a select range of subjects. We give schools flexibility so they can build a curriculum to match the needs of each student.
Our programmes are predominantly taught in New Zealand schools where there is a physical site, but we also work with Cambridge International Education schools that are registered to offer our programmes online. Home-schooled students and those interested in entering as private candidates can also access Cambridge exams in New Zealand.
Many Cambridge schools in New Zealand choose to become members of the Association of Cambridge Schools in New Zealand (ACSNZ). This independent membership organisation provides a professional forum and support network for member schools. Cambridge typically works with ACSNZ to present events such as the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards ceremony or the Cambridge schools conference. For more information please visit their website.
