The Kansas Board of Regents (KBOR) has approved the addition of Cambridge Advanced exams to the state's Credit for Prior Learning Policy. With this new policy change, all higher education institutions governed or coordinated by KBOR will award credit to all students earning an E grade or higher on Cambridge Advanced (International AS & A Level) examinations.

New findings from a study by Cambridge International and Arizona State University in USA show that students who took the Cambridge IGCSE programme demonstrated higher average SAT and ACT scores compared to both the state and national average, with the average SAT and ACT score being 1255 and 24.0 respectively for Cambridge students.
