What is the International Education Advisory Board?
We listen to and involve our global community of schools to ensure they have the support they need and that our programmes are rigorous, relevant and world class. The International Education Advisory Board is part of our drive to work even more closely with our school community to help us improve what we do.
The Advisory Board:
- advises Cambridge International on issues concerning Cambridge schools
- provides a think tank forum where suggestions about how we can better support schools are raised and considered
- provides us with feedback and critical engagement on possible new developments.
Principals serve a two-year term to ensure many of our schools get the chance to be members.
Cambridge International is represented by Ben Schmidt, Director of International Network, who chairs the meetings.
Where and how often does it meet?
The International Education Advisory Board meets at least once a year, either virtually or face-to-face in Cambridge. If in person, we will aim to align the dates with other relevant events in Cambridge such as the Cambridge Schools Conference. The Board also has occasional online meetings to discuss specific issues.
How do we select members?
Regional Directors nominate Advisory board members.
