Test Maker

Test Maker is our online service that makes it easy for teachers to create high-quality, customised test papers for their learners using Cambridge questions.

It is available for six of our most popular Cambridge IGCSE syllabuses:

• Biology (0610)
• Business Studies (0450)
• Chemistry (0620)
• Mathematics (0580)
• Additional Mathematics (0606)
• Physics (0625).

Test Maker, previously available by subscription only, is available to approved Cambridge International Schools free of charge.

How can Test Maker help you?

• Create test papers easily –– the clear design and layout of Test Maker makes it easy to find the questions you need and build your paper. Choose from 500 past paper questions for each syllabus.
• Check your learners’ knowledge and understanding – search for questions by topic to test specific areas of syllabus content.
• Tailor tests to your learners’ needs – design a test for your whole class, or create individual tests for each learner. You can select questions depending on the level of difficulty and the assessment objectives they test.
• Save time on your marking – Test Maker produces a customised mark scheme for each test you build.
• Log on at any time, wherever you are – access Test Maker using any connected device.
• Share tests with your learners, or save them for later – you can download tests in PDF or word document format, or save them to use later.

How does Test Maker work?

1. Build your test

• Filter questions by topic, and sort by question type and exam series.
• Find questions that suit your learners’ ability.
• Preview questions and select the ones you want to use.

2. Review and check

• View a summary of your test: the number of questions, the level of difficulty and the total number of marks.
• Check your test covers the right topics and assessment objectives.
• Rearrange questions into the order you want them to appear on your test.

3. Download and share

• Export your test in PDF or word document format.
• Download your customised mark scheme.
• Save your test and come back to it later.
