Inclusive education across the curriculum

We are committed to continually improving the qualifications and support we offer our schools and partners. This includes embedding inclusive education across all our programmes and qualifications, within curriculum, assessments and resources.

Here are some recent examples:

• Our revised Cambridge IGCSE Music syllabus includes more diverse musical genres, composers, artists and instruments.
• Ongoing updates to our Cambridge IGCSE Modern Foreign Language syllabuses with a focus on accessibility, such as simplifying images in the listening and reading papers. This reduces the cognitive load required for any learner to access the tasks and means that the tasks can be more easily modified for visually impaired candidates.
• We have improved access arrangements for candidates taking Cambridge International AS Level Sport & Physical Education. The new syllabus now includes Goalball, a sport for blind people with low vision of blindness, played with eye shades.
