Online Conference March 2022
Our brains continue to develop as we transition from childhood to adolescence to adulthood, and with it our capacity to think about how and why we do things, take risks, and control our behaviours. How we work with our learners in schools is fundamental to their future outcomes. With our support they form habits and attitudes to learning, an ability to self-regulate and to know what to do when they don’t know what to do.
In this online conference - our second focusing on the theme of thinking about thinking - we heard from two of our directors about the approaches teachers and school leaders may want to consider in nurturing the competence of learning to learn with their students. We will also explored in workshops, what thinking about thinking means in context and how Cambridge can help learners to enhance their success in education and life.
To prepare for the conference, we recommended that our delegates read our Education Brief and Getting Started With resource about Metacognition, and view recordings of the sessions from our November 2021 conference.
