How does the Teacher development journey work?
By completing a Cambridge PDQ Certificate or Diploma, you will gain credit that counts towards the entry requirements of certain courses offered by ARU. We’ve created the diagram below to explain how it works.

Before you can gain entry to your course, you will need to complete one of the bridging units offered by ARU. The bridging unit is a short online course that will support you to succeed on your chosen course and build on the reflective practice you have developed in your PDQ Diploma.
Find out more about the ARU bridging units.
Or, watch a recording of our webinar on 30 June to find out more about how the journey works, what to expect from the bridging units, and which route is best for you.
How will a Cambridge PDQ prepare me for my next step?
A Cambridge PDQ Certificate or Diploma can help you to transform your professional practice, encouraging you to:
- engage with educational theories and concepts
- apply new ideas and approaches in your practice
- make your students’ learning more active and successful
- reflect on your experiences.
This gives you a fantastic grounding in educational theory and reflective practice, and helps you to build skills that will prepare you for further study.
