Most of our schools around the world held exams in the June and / or November 2022 series. A small proportion of schools were moved to our portfolio of evidence route because local or national restrictions meant they could not run exams. No matter which route you took, you will receive a fair and recognised grade from Cambridge International.
To help you understand your results, we have answered some of the most frequently asked questions below.
When are results released?
November 2022 results will be released as follows:
- Cambridge International AS & A Level, AICE and Cambridge International Project Qualification
10 January 2023 at 06:00 UTC/GMT
- Cambridge IGCSE/O Level
18 January 2023 at 06:00 UTC/GMT
UTC is Coordinated Universal Time and is the primary time standard by which the world regulates clocks and time. GMT is Greenwich Mean Time.
Exam results and portfolio of evidence results are released in the same way on these dates.
Our example statement of results (PDF, 179KB) explains what you can expect to see on results day. If you have any questions about your results, you should speak to your school.
* Dates of results release may be different in countries where Cambridge is the national examination system and administered by a public body, such as a ministry of education. Students in these countries should contact their school to find out when they will receive their results.
How will June 2022 and November 2022 grades compare with previous years?
Like UK exam boards we have considered the impact of the pandemic on students as we grade the exams.
To reflect that we are in a pandemic recovery period we are moving gradually from the June 2021 standard of school-assessed grades back to the standard of exams in 2019. We are doing this in two equal steps – first in 2022 and again in 2023. So, the standard of exams in 2022 is at the midpoint between the standards of 2021 and 2019.
In other words, the grades awarded in 2022 are more generous than those awarded in 2019, and less generous than those awarded in 2021.
You can read more about the standard of Cambridge exams in this factsheet (PDF, 247KB).
