Cambridge International, the world’s largest provider of international education programs, today released the findings from the inaugural Global Education Census, an international survey designed to find out what life is like in schools around the world today for students aged 12-19 and their teachers.

More than a third of students (37%) worldwide don’t exercise at school, according to new research by Cambridge International. What’s more, girls are less likely than boys to play sport at school, with two in five female students (41%) saying they don’t take part in school sports, versus 28% of male students.

We held two workshops in China recently to give Cambridge teachers from different schools the opportunity to share ideas, and develop their understanding of how to deliver Cambridge programmes.
We were pleased to host our first Learn More! event in Uganda on Thursday 25 October in collaboration with British Council. The one-day conference was held in the capital city, Kampala, and attended by school principals and heads of department interested in learning more about the Cambridge curriculum and how to introduce it to their school.

We partnered with publisher, Cambridge University Press, to participate in EduTech Africa 2018 earlier this month. The expo took place in Johannesburg on 9-10 October and was attended by educators, parents, businesses in IT and government bodies who came to learn about innovative products in education.

Thirty-four learners from Generation Schools Hermanus campus – a Cambridge school in South Africa – have taken top honours in the 2018 Allan Gray Entrepreneurship Challenge (AGEC). The Challenge gamifies learning about entrepreneurship for high school learners in Grades 8 to 12 in South Africa, and encourages them to act and think like entrepreneurs.
