Saul Nassé has conducted his first visit to the Sub-Saharan Africa region since he assumed his role as Group Chief Executive, Cambridge Assessment.
The visit earlier this month gave him an opportunity to tour Cambridge schools, speak to school leaders at principals’ forums and meet with key business stakeholders in each country. The trip included meeting Honourable Edgar Moyo, Deputy Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Zimbabwe and other officials from the Ministry. Saul was accompanied by Anthony Dawson, Deputy Director, Assessment Standards & Quality, Cambridge International.
Saul also gave the keynote speech at the first Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards event in Johannesburg, South Africa, which was attended by over 200 students, parents and teachers. To conclude his trip, Saul had the opportunity of touring High Achievers Coach International Academy in Zimbabwe where he was welcomed by the enthusiastic Director of Studies, Dr Tapera Chikandiwa, who took him around the school to meet and engage with students in different classes.
At the end of tour he was invited to officially launch the school’s ‘The Innovation Hub Africa’. When it’s complete, the Hub will provide facilities to nurture new ideas and help develop students’ inquisitive perspective.
