In July we exhibited at Africa’s largest exhibition dedicated to education. EduWeek, which took place in Johannesburg, South Africa, aims to provide insights into trends in education, and provides a place where educational organisations can meet and share ideas. The theme of the event was ‘Education: Africa’s path to a sustainable future’.
We provided information about Cambridge programmes and informed educators about how their school could join the worldwide community of Cambridge schools. Cambridge University Press (CUP) was our partner at the event, and our CUP colleagues showcased their publications and e-learning products.
This year the event attracted over 3700 delegates from as far afield as Egypt, as well as from neighbouring countries such as Zimbabwe and Botswana.
Joseph Mbugua, Manager, East Africa, Cambridge Assessment International Education, said: 'I found it to be a useful event for Cambridge. We met educators from different countries, discussed their needs and how we as Cambridge can support them and help improve education in their school. It was a good opportunity to explain to visitors what we do.'
Thank you to everyone who visited our stand to learn more about Cambridge programmes.
