The Cambridge MENA team hosted workshops for early years teachers in Jeddah, Riyadh and Oman in September, led by Dr. Akash Raut, Academic Advisor in the Cambridge South Asia team. Titled "From Theory to Practice: Empowering Early Years Practitioners for Success," the workshops were designed to engage and inspire over 115 early years teachers.
The sessions focused on innovative, interactive teaching strategies to foster dynamic classroom environments that ignite young minds. Dr. Raut's hands-on approach allowed educators to delve deep into practical methods, bridging the gap between theory and practice, and equipping them with tools to create enriching learning experiences for early years students.
Speaking about the importance of the sessions, Dr Raut said: 'Our mission, making learners ready for the world, was the driving force behind this incredible experience. The workshops were a testament to the collective passion and dedication of everyone involved – educators, school leaders, policymakers, the Ministry of Education, and the Cambridge team. This collaborative spirit fuelled in-depth discussions on the seamless transition from Cambridge Early Years to Cambridge Primary and Lower Secondary Programmes, ultimately preparing learners for high-stakes Cambridge IGCSEs and International A Levels.'
The workshops underscored Cambridge’s commitment to supporting educators worldwide, empowering them to nurture the next generation of learners for the best start in life.
