New Zealand’s Principals, school leaders, teachers, parents and students converged on Auckland on 18 February 2016 to celebrate the exceptional achievements of learners at the annual Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards.
101 students from 17 schools were presented with certificates, 28 of whom have achieved the ‘Top in the World’ award in subjects including Cambridge International A Level Biology, Art & Design and Economics.
These results demonstrate the enormous talent, dedication and passion for learning among students. It is also a clear indication of the high quality of support from teachers, schools and parents in the Cambridge network.
The event was supported by our key partner, the Association of Cambridge Schools in New Zealand (ACSNZ) who also announced the result of their annual scholarship award for the top Cambridge International A Level student.
At the ceremony, guest of honour Dr. Matthew Richards, Deputy Director Innovation and Development at Cambridge Assessment International Education said: ‘We are privileged to play such an important role in the lives of young people in New Zealand. We will continue to provide you with world class programmes that prepare you for the challenges and opportunities of the modern age and enable you to become active citizens capable of shaping a better world in the future. Congratulations to you all on your great achievements, of which you can be justly proud.’
