Three schools in the United Arab Emirates have held ceremonies to celebrate the success of Cambridge Primary learners. The ceremonies at Rosary School Halwan, The Bloomington Academy and Oxford School celebrated 509 learners who completed Cambridge Primary Checkpoint tests in English, Mathematics and Science.
It is the first time that Cambridge International has held ceremonies in the UAE to recognise the achievements of Cambridge Primary learners. The feedback from teachers, learners, and parents has been overwhelmingly positive, with many praising the caps and sashes given to the students.
Next year, we are excited to open these ceremonies up to all schools running Cambridge Primary Checkpoints tests in the UAE. This will allow even more students to be recognised for their hard work and achievements, and to celebrate their success with their peers, families, and communities.
Many schools use Cambridge Checkpoint tests to assess learners at the end of our primary and lower secondary programmes. Cambridge International marks the tests for English as a first or second language, Mathematics and Science. Schools then use the feedback from Cambridge Checkpoint to make strategic decisions and give feedback to parents, drawing upon a pool of information and specialist reporting tools we have built into the tests.
If you school would like to celebrate your students’ success at the end of Cambridge Primary and Checkpoint, our guides and resources can help you organise and host your own school ceremony, whether virtual or in person.
