School leaders came together for our first ever Principals Forum for Cambridge schools in the Philippines recently, held at the Singapore School Manila.
Daryl Khong, Country Manager, updated participants on the new subjects being added to Cambridge Primary and Lower Secondary – both programmes are being extended from September 2019. He also shared information on the range of support and training available to Cambridge schools, including Cambridge Professional Development Qualifications.
One of the attendees, Ms. Shabina Saundh, School Administrator of Singapore School Manila, said: 'The forum gave a platform to Cambridge school heads and coordinators to connect and share educational practices and understand issues in the local context. It was emboldening to have Mr Khong share valuable information highlighting the strengths of Cambridge International qualifications in the Philippines.'
Commenting on the event, Daryl said: 'I’m delighted that so many school principals attended the first event of this kind in the Philippines, and I would like to thank them for their valuable contributions. It was a great opportunity for us to receive feedback and we look forward to hosting further similar events in the future.'
Cambridge International’s Assistant Customer Service Manager, Sherylane Mamaradlo-Abapo – a member of our Customer Services team based in Manila – also joined delegates at the forum. Daryl said: 'Some delegates were not aware that we have a Customer Services team in Manila which supports our UK Customer Services team so we can offer a service 24 hours a day, six days a week. Suddenly they understood why they received such fast responses to their email queries!'
