Cambridge held a national conference at the prestigious Pontifical University in Rome on 16 November to celebrate 20 years of fruitful collaboration with Italian schools.
It was a moment to reflect, celebrate and look ahead. ‘This event was not just a celebration of an alliance, but a testament to the relentless efforts of our Italian community and their commitment to educational excellence. This twenty-year partnership symbolises the harmonious blend of international and bilingual education,’ said Alessandra Varriale, Senior Regional Manager, Italy for International Education at Cambridge (pictured).
‘As we celebrate this significant milestone of 20 years of International Education working alongside Italian schools, it is not just a commemoration of time but a mosaic of relationships, knowledge and cultural exchange that we have interlaced together.'
The success of this conference and the two-decade-long journey would not have been possible without the collaborative spirit of the Cambridge school community and the Cambridge team in Italy. Their passion and commitment to fostering a global educational environment are commendable.
We would like to extend heartfelt thanks to all the schools who participated in the event and our distinguished speakers: Do Coyle, Professor in Language Education and Classroom Pedagogies, Moray House School of Education and Sport, University of Edinburgh; Gisella Langé, Senior Advisor for the Italian Ministry of Education and Merit; Peter Lucantoni, Professional Learning and Development Manager for International Education at Cambridge, and Elizabeth Cater, Director, Global Marketing for International Education at Cambridge. Their insights, expertise, and passion for education enriched the discourse and added immense value to the event.
