Twenty-six schools in Jordan have held ceremonies to celebrate over 1200 learners who have successfully completed their Cambridge Primary and Lower Secondary Checkpoint assessments.
Senior Country Manager for International Education at Cambridge, Asma Tarawneh, has been busy attending the ceremonies to congratulate learners alongside their teachers and parents. In her speech she said the ceremony marked a special day in their lives: ‘I am honoured to stand here today to congratulate you as you approach the end of this stage of education and prepare to move on the next. Your hard work, dedication and perseverance have paid off, and you should be very proud of yourselves for reaching this milestone.’
Cambridge gave caps and sashes to all the learners and supported schools with the ceremonies, however the schools went above and beyond to make the events even more memorable. For example, Al Ittihad International School created a lovely decorative display for their graduates, Pioneer International School made a large hand-painted Cambridge Checkpoint picture frame so learners could take photos of themselves inside it, and Al Maaref School gave learners a delicious cake and played their favourite songs at the end of the ceremony. Several other schools put on wonderful performances to showcase the talent and creativity of their students.
Dr. Nadia Kharbat, General Manager of Mayar International School, said: ‘Cambridge Primary and Lower Secondary ceremonies celebrate the remarkable journey of young learners, marking milestones of academic growth resilience, and the joy of discovery.’
