Our upcoming training partnership with Putera Sampoerna Foundation also marks the first time that we are recruiting and certifying Indonesian teachers as trainers to deliver professional development for teachers in Indonesia and abroad. This is part of our long-term plan to develop local capacity in Cambridge professional teacher-training.'
At the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards ceremony, top-performing learners were presented with awards in a wide range of subjects, including ground-breaking subjects such as Global Perspectives, which stretches across traditional subject boundaries and develops transferable skills, and Cambridge creative and professional qualifications in Art & Design, Enterprise, Information & Communication Technology, Travel & Tourism and Thinking Skills. Indonesian learners have outperformed thousands of candidates worldwide who sat Cambridge IGCSEs and Cambridge International AS & A Levels in June and November 2016. Their outstanding results will be recognised by employers and universities around the world as proof of academic excellence.
Dianindah Apriyani, Cambridge’s Senior Manager, Indonesia, said: 'I am very proud to congratulate our learners on their outstanding results in the Cambridge examinations and to celebrate their hard work and talents together with their teachers, families and friends at this event. I am also glad to see more learners taking on the challenge of Cambridge creative and professional qualifications to develop workplace-ready skills at a young age and scoring the world’s highest marks in these subjects. These achievements are a testimony to the unstinting dedication of our Cambridge teachers in providing the best learning support and guidance to our learners.' 'As our learners step into the next stage of their lives, their Cambridge qualifications, recognised internationally by the world’s best universities, will open up endless opportunities for them. I wish them every success in their future.'
