Teaching and learning when school returns - measuring student progress
Covid-19 has had a huge impact on teaching across the world. Some of you may be starting to return to school or adopting a blended teaching approach. Whatever your situation, we are committed to helping you and your learners.
Everyone’s experience of teaching and learning remotely has been different. We have a range of tools and resources on this website to help you measure the progress made by your students over the last few months. These include progression tests, past papers, a guide on assessing knowledge and baseline assessments. Many of these resources will also enable you to show evidence of learning to parents and school leaders.
For more information, please see measuring progress.

Results information
We have updated our guidance documents on results release for the June 2020 exam series. For information about ‘Accessing your results’ and ‘Administering the candidate results service’ please see: www.cambridgeinternational.org/results
Standardisation, post-results checks and appeals
Next week, we will publish more details about the statistical standardisation we have carried out. We will also publish more details about how centres will be able to appeal their results and request post-results checks.
November 2020 series
We can now share more information about how we will manage coursework, speaking and practical components in the November 2020 series. We have put together some information and guidance to support you, and to make sure as many of your candidates as possible can meet all the requirements of their chosen syllabus.
The guidance is set out on our new webpage, ‘Coursework, speaking and practical components for the November 2020 series’ so teachers can apply the information to specific components.
- For components where it is still possible for candidates to meet all the assessment objectives, we have determined adjustments to the requirements of the component. This should make it easier for candidates to produce work for the component in the current circumstances.
- Where a component adjustment is not possible, we have explained what you can do if your candidate is not able to complete the component.
You should also refer to our updated Special Consideration guidance.
In addition to our guidance, you should also follow local regulations for safeguarding and Covid-19.
