We will run exams for the November 2021 series as scheduled where safe and permitted. As with June 2021, we have created extensive measures to help schools manage the impact of the pandemic:
- Guidance on running exams and adapting safely to the current circumstances
- Component adjustments and exemptions where the pandemic makes it challenging to take specific parts of the assessment
- Special consideration process for candidates who unexpectedly, for an acceptable reason, cannot take some components they were entered for. As long as these candidates have taken at least one eligible component, they can receive a grade. This is a temporary measure in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

For countries or regions within countries where directives from national or local authorities mean exams cannot take place, we will switch to school-assessed grades. We expect this to use the same assessment method we used for the June 2021 series.
Schools who wish to prepare can check our guidance on the June 2021 series.
