Food waste is a global environmental issue. Rising populations are causing more land to be given over to agriculture – but much of the food we produce is wasted, costing money and causing unnecessary strain on the environment. Students at Escuela del Valle, General Roca, Argentina, produced a video exploring their own local situation as part of their Cambridge IGCSE Global Perspectives course.
They explored the gap between people’s views on the topics and their practical actions, and went on to try to raise local awareness of the issue by offering practical tips that everyone can follow.
