Science Competition winners 2024
The judges have picked their winners for the 2024 Science Competition.
This year, we saw more Gold projects, than ever before, with 308 entries representing 906 students from 151 schools. It was a tough job, but our expert panel of judges selected winners for Best in World, Best in Region and Best in Country, as well as a separate Engineering Award and Sustainability Award.
The science competition gives learners the chance to develop their passion for science and build practical skills that complement their academic studies. Students studying Cambridge IGCSEs and Cambridge O Levels work in small teams to conduct their own scientific investigation. They are asked to consider sustainability in their planning and investigate a topic of practical relevance to their school or community – helping students connect science to solving real-world problems.
