The information below focuses on accessing Secure Exchange and using it to submit portfolios of evidence for ICT and IT candidates.
If you have candidates taking one or both of the following syllabuses, you will need to upload their portfolios of evidence using Secure Exchange:
- Cambridge IGCSE™ Information & Communication Technology (0417/50) and (9–1) 0983/50)
- Cambridge International AS & A Level Information Technology (9626/50, 60)
Accessing Secure Exchange
If you have used Secure Exchange in a previous series you can log in using the same email address and password. If we move you to the portfolio of evidence route and you have not previously used Secure Exchange we will send you a link to log in to the system with a temporary password. You must then set up your Secure Exchange account.
Preparing and submitting work
Use our administrative guide to help you prepare and submit work using Secure Exchange:
Administrative guide: submitting portfolios of evidence using Secure Exchange (PDF, 724KB)
What do I need to submit?
You must submit the correct number of pieces of evidence for each component. For each piece of evidence, you must also upload the task that the candidate has used to create the evidence.
For example, if you have 20 candidates entered for a syllabus, you must upload the following for each candidate:
- the required pieces of evidence
- the tasks they have used for each of the pieces of evidence.
For each component, you also need to upload one copy of the following:
- Rationale Document
- Supplementary Attendance Register (Exam Day – Form 1)
- Declaration of Authenticity.
Where is the Declaration of Authenticity?
Download the Declaration of Authenticity below. You must complete one Declaration of Authenticity for each component you submit, you do not need a separate one for every candidate.
Declaration of Authenticity (PDF, 140KB)
When you have completed the declaration, upload it along with the relevant portfolio(s) of evidence and Supplementary attendance registers to Secure Exchange. You must upload one declaration of authenticity for each component you submit.
There is information in the administrative guide about creating your zip files and the folders you should create within each one.
Where is the Supplementary Attendance Register (Exam Day – Form 1)
Download the Supplementary Attendance Register (Exam Day – Form 1) from the administrative forms page, under ‘Exam Day’.
You must complete one form for each component, to show which candidates were present and which were absent when the evidence for the component was completed. Submit it via Secure Exchange when you submit your candidate’s evidence.
