We are delighted to announce that our Cambridge Wellbeing curriculum was recently presented with an award from the International Forums of Inclusion Practitioners (IFIP) at the British Educational Training and Technology Show (BETT) in London.
The curriculum is based on the belief that social and emotional development are key parts of a holistic education and critical to success in later life. It has been developed to help learners better understand themselves, build positive relationships and become safe and active participants in the world. Offered to all Cambridge Primary and Lower Secondary schools, the programme can be integrated into existing school curricula.
Schools are encouraged to teach it in the language that is most suitable for their context, meaning it can be integrated into subjects that may not use English as a first language, making it an exemplary model of inclusive education.

The team at IFIP praised Cambridge for promoting wellbeing and inclusion in education saying: 'This prestigious award recognises your outstanding contributions to promoting inclusion. The IFIP Global Inclusion Award is a testament to your hard work and commitment. You are an inspiration to others, and we are proud to recognise your achievements.'
Receiving the award on behalf of Cambridge, Curriculum Programme Manager Sarah Nelson, who led the development of the Wellbeing curriculum, said: 'I am immensely proud of the curriculum we’ve created, and of the external recognition we’ve received for its ability to make a positive and lasting impact on the lives of our learners. Winning this award is a real honour and is a testament to our team’s ongoing commitment to support the holistic development of learners as well-rounded, resilient, and empathetic individuals through our inclusive curriculum programmes.'
Speaking about the award, the Head of Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (EDIB) for International Education at Cambridge, Dr Lilian Dogiama said: 'I am beyond delighted that we have won our first inclusion award for International Education. The IFIP Global Inclusion Award is a tangible recognition of the progress we have made in embedding EDIB in our products and services and our commitment to inclusive education. It is an ongoing journey for us, but this award will further motivate us to achieve our inclusion goals. A huge bravo from me to the team responsible for the Cambridge Primary and Lower Secondary Wellbeing curriculum.'
