Today Cambridge has published a new blog and podcast episode about online schools and their role in supporting the diversity of learners around the world. The releases are the latest pieces concerning inclusive education, after we recently produced introductory guides that help teachers and school leaders to build inclusive education into their teaching practice.

Inclusive education engages students in learning that is meaningful, relevant and accessible to the widest possible spectrum. We celebrate the diversity of our global community in what we do, respecting the different cultures and contexts in which we work.
What can online schools teach us about inclusive education and supporting the diversity of our learners?, highlights the need for inclusive education and considers how online schools tackle the challenge of accounting for each learner’s needs.
Online Schools: Helping All Learners to Thrive, is the latest in the series from the Cambridge Brighter Thinking Pod. The episode features Catriona Olsen, Executive Head Teacher at online school, King’s InterHigh, and Louis Bone, the Online Schools Development Manager at Cambridge. In it, they discuss the role that online schools play in helping students who may not feel comfortable in traditional classrooms feel welcome and able to learn in a way that suits their needs. The episode also considers the benefits, challenges and misconceptions around online schooling.

Speaking about the inclusive education guidance from Cambridge, Lilian Dogiama, Head of Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging for International Education, said: ‘we are doing so much to provide inclusive resources and foster a positive environment where students can feel accepted and their needs catered for.
