Cambridge International held face-to-face training in Abuja, Nigeria, for the first time recently – a decision greatly welcomed by local teachers who would usually travel to Lagos or outside Nigeria for training courses.
The two-day Extension Training, held in collaboration with British Council Nigeria, took place on 12–13 September 2017 at Aduvie International School. Over 40 teachers took part in training for Cambridge IGCSE Literature and Information & Communication Technology, and Cambridge International AS & A Level Biology.
Efua Asiedu, Cambridge International Manager, West Africa said: 'The face-to-face training enables teachers to engage with the Cambridge syllabuses and curriculum frameworks in greater depth and to build confidence in their delivery. It’s fantastic to see so many teachers in Abuja committed to their professional development.'
Extension Training gives teachers a deeper understanding of Cambridge programmes and qualifications. We also offer Introductory Training and Enrichment Professional Development to support teachers and school leaders at different stages of their careers.
