We hope that you and all members of your school community are well. We know that many schools in the northern hemisphere will be looking forward to a summer break soon; and for some, this may already have begun.
In our update this week, you can find more information about our June and November 2022 series, what we will do if exams cannot take place and how you can let us know your views.
We have also included a reminder of how we are supporting Exams Officers as they prepare for the June 2021 series results release, and registration details for our next Exams Officer update webinar.
June 2021 series
Preparing for results day
Candidates will receive their results at the same time whether they sat their exams or are receiving school-assessed grades. We release results through Cambridge International Direct (Direct) and send you a printed provisional results despatch.
Results day can be very busy and we know you will want to do as much preparation in advance as possible. Exams Officers will shortly receive an email from us with information about results release including:
- the release dates and times
- how to access results through Direct
- how to give candidates access to the Candidates results service
- when you will receive your provisional results despatch and what it contains
- when grade thresholds will be released and where to find them
- what enquiries about results or post-results checks will be available.
Exams officer update webinar - Wednesday 21 July 2021
We will share a summary of our recent communications to centres and the most up to date information about our exams. This is also an opportunity for you to ask us questions including about component exemptions and adjustments for the November 2021 series.
This free, one hour webinar is open to all exams officers. Book your place using the links below:
June and November 2022 series
We have received some questions about our approach for the June and November exam series in 2022. We continue to believe that exams are the best way to assess students, and so we will run exams for our June and November 2022 series.
The covid pandemic remains unpredictable, and continues to impact schools and their students. We want to give schools certainty about our plans where we can, as soon as we can.
With both the June and November 2022 exam series, we will again provide a contingency route to results, using assessment based on evidence gathered in school, for countries and regions within countries where directives from local or national authorities mean exams cannot take place. Our priorities remain keeping students and teachers safe, and helping students progress with their education in the fairest way possible.
We will consult with our schools worldwide about the form the contingency route for these exam series should take. We will send schools guidance next week about how to take part in this consultation. We expect to say more about the outcome in September so that schools can prepare in good time.
