Cambridge Early Years

Since launching in September 2023, over 100 schools have signed up to our Cambridge Early Years programme. Developed for 3–6-year-olds, Cambridge Early Years is the first stage in our Cambridge Pathway and gives young learners the best start in life, helping them meet key early milestones and thrive in and outside of school.

Teaching and learning resources

Our early years programme gives you everything you need to deliver inspiring learning and improve outcomes for your learners. This includes engaging resources for teachers and learners that are carefully designed to align with our curriculum.

Teaching resources are available as part of the curriculum fee. They include step-by-step activity ideas, continuous provision and guided play suggestions, observational assessment guidance and much more

Learner’s books are available at an additional cost. Filled with colour stories and songs, write-in activities and tips for practitioners and parents – our books spark imagination and make learning fun.

Cambridge Early Years Check Together

Check Together is our story-based digital assessment tool for Cambridge Early Years. It’s designed to support our curriculum, covering early literacy, numeracy and social & emotional development

It gives you an objective measure of each child's individual starting point of ability and provides helpful reports that support you to plan and make interactions with your learners more effective. We recommend carrying out the assessment at the start and end of year 2 of Cambridge Early Years.
