How did you decide which Cambridge programmes to study?

I spoke with my school counsellor and teachers, and asked them for their opinions based on my interests and prior academic performance in different disciplines. Additionally, I took an aptitude test to roughly determine a suitable stream.

How did your Cambridge qualifications support your university application, and prepare you for life as an undergraduate?

My Cambridge International A Levels helped me to secure a $100,000 scholarship at the University of Toronto. Once I arrived at university, I found it simpler to acclimatise to the academic rigour of my university courses, and the requirement to think critically, because I had studied a globally recognised curriculum.

My Cambridge International AS & A Levels gave me the conceptual understanding and practical knowledge to excel at university. In addition, beyond my academic studies, my Cambridge International AS & A Levels helped me to develop broader perspectives of other nations and gain knowledge about different cultures which has enabled me to interact and connect with a wide range of people.

What are your future career plans?

I would like to become a financial advisor or consultant, specialising in providing guidance on financial literacy for women. I would also like to pursue a career in social entrepreneurship with the same ambition, to address the needs of women worldwide in the context of achieving financial independence.

Would you recommend Cambridge qualifications to other students who want to go to university?

Yes – I recommend Cambridge qualifications to other students as they provide the foundation for academic success in the future, and expose students to skills and disciplines that will be useful even beyond education.
