What will I learn?
This course is designed to focus on thinking and working scientifically.
Under the guidance of an experienced Cambridge trainer, you will:
- develop a deeper understanding of the challenges
- consider what success looks like for you and your learners
- explore practical examples and activities to use in your classroom
- create an action plan for making small and sustainable changes to your practice
- share ideas with other Cambridge teachers.
Who is this course for?
This course is designed for teachers who have been teaching their Cambridge syllabus for at least one year, and who want to explore a specific area of teaching and learning.
If you are new to this syllabus or new to Cambridge programmes and qualifications, we strongly recommend that you attend an Introduction course first.
Who will deliver the course?
This course will be delivered by an accredited Cambridge trainer who is a subject expert with a range of relevant classroom experience and have been involved in some aspect of marking. We do not provide professional development courses delivered by examiners who have seen live papers.

This course will run for a total of 3.5 hours, including a 30-minute break.

Virtual platform
Virtual professional development is a lot like our face-to-face professional development. However, it is held over Zoom. Each session will be live so you will be able to see and talk with the trainer and other teachers and take part in activities and discussions. The link and password to access the course and materials will be provided to registered delegates approximately one week prior to the start date. All materials for this course will be digital and can be downloaded prior to the course.

We offer a 20% early bird registration discount for this course if you book your place more than 28 days before the course start date. Please note, registrations will close 48 hours before the first day of the course.
To enable you to get the best from this course, please only book a place if your internet network can be used for a sustained period. Please note, we are unable to provide recordings for our virtual courses.
Participants who attend the whole duration of the course will receive a certificate of participation.
Language
This training will be delivered in English. English language competence comparable to Level B2 in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is necessary to fully participate. We recommend a minimum requirement of 5.5 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). Further information may be obtained through the Council of Europe website.
