We work with many organisations across the world. They each vary in size, have different aims and priorities, and choose to work with us in a slightly different way. Most of our Cambridge Associates fit into one of the four broad categories below.
Ministries
These associates are typically ministries of education with the responsibility to manage international education for their country or state. The ministries we work with usually have a clear objective to deliver international education alongside the local or national curriculum.
Ministry associates often have a central relationship with us, with communications to schools going through the ministry. Some ministry associates choose to manage the delivery of exams and other operation processes on behalf of their schools, while others choose to delegate this to their schools.
Commercial organisations
Some of our associates are commercial or commercially-driven organisations. Their focus is usually growing their network of schools and helping their schools to develop. They may do this by offering additional services like training and university recruitment support.
Many of our more commercial associates also provide other education services to schools, or have other commercial interests.
Education organisations
These associates are usually universities or colleges that choose to support schools as part of their educational outlook. They may do this as a commercially-driven venture, or because they have the operational capacity to do so and see it as a method of educational outreach.
They are often particularly good at using their experience and reputation as an education organisation to attract schools to join their network.
Groups of schools
We also work with groups of schools, including US school districts. Groups of schools are usually owned by a single legal entity.
Often, groups of schools choose to work with us because they want a more central relationship with Cambridge. This means that operations and exam administration for all schools can be managed centrally, as well as the billing process.
They often have a ‘lead’ school or other entity that will have direct contact with us. All other schools in the group will communicate with us through that central contact.
