Erdem Ceydilek serves as the International Students Office Coordinator for Middle East Technical University (METU), one of the top destinations in Türkiye for Cambridge students worldwide. Since 2018, Dr Ceydilek has played an important role in the overall planning and coordination of works related to prospective and ongoing international degree-seeking students at METU. This is one of Türkiye’s premier state universities, with a rich tradition of internationalisation and with 1500+ international degree-seeking students.
He has taken active roles in many strategy and policy development initiatives at the institutional and national levels, including the METU Strategic Plan and the development of the StudyinTurkey portal by the Council of Higher Education (CoHE).
Dr Ceydilek received his PhD in International Relations from Bilkent University in 2020. His research areas include populism, foreign policy, and international student mobility. He has been teaching at the Department of International Relations at METU since 2020.
