Kent R. Hopkins serves as Vice President of Academic Enterprise Enrollment at Arizona State University (ASU)– the largest public university in the US. He leads enrollment strategy, and guides unit leadership operations for Admission Services, Financial Aid and Scholarship Services, University Registrar Services, the International Students and Scholars Center, Pat Tillman Veterans Center, and Academic Enterprise Communications.
Kent joined ASU in November 2009. From 1999-2009, he served as Vice President for Consulting Services for Noel-Levitz (now Ruffalo Noel Levitz). He provided expertise in strategic and annual plan development, predictive modeling, financial aid leveraging, recruitment and marketing, retention strategy, multiple site enrollment, data analysis and technology to over 100 two- and four-year public and private institutions — to increase their enrollment, maximise revenue and shape their classes.
Kent served at the University of Toledo as Dean of Enrollment Management (1995-1999) and Assistant/Associate Director of Admissions (1987-1991) and at St. Louis University as Director of Undergraduate Admissions (1991-1994).
He received his B.S. in Journalism and Mass Communications (1983) and M.S. in Professional Studies in Education (1987) from Iowa State University.
