Active learning

Active learning is when learners participate in the learning process by building knowledge and understanding. In schools they will usually do this in response to learning opportunities designed by their teacher.

Our education animations are short, visual introductions to important themes in education, presented through animated characters and audio narration. They outline what the theme is, why it’s important and what teachers can do to help learners.

Our education briefs summarise key approaches to teaching and learning. They include: research theory, challenges, practical tips, resource lists and an outline of how Cambridge is supporting schools working in this area.
