John Barnhill is Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management at Florida State University in the US. He is responsible for the Offices of Admission, Financial Aid and the Registrar.
During his 45 years at Florida State, he has overseen impressive gains in size, quality and diversity. He has also been instrumental in dramatic increases in retention and graduation rates.
Over the years, Barnhill has been a frequent presenter at professional conferences and he has served in many leadership capacities in regional and national organisations, including SACAC, NACAC, SACRAO and AACRAO. He is currently a College Board trustee, a member of the higher education advisory boards for ACT, Cambridge Assessment International Education and the Partnership for Education Advancement, and immediate past chair of the national Counseling and Admissions Assembly Council of the College Board.
