Nobuyuki Kanzawa is the Vice President for Community Engagement at Sophia University, Japan. He is also a Professor in the Department of Materials and Life Sciences, Faculty of Science and Technology.
As a former Head of the Department of Materials and Life Sciences and former Chairperson of the Student Life Committee in the Japan Association of Private Universities and Colleges, Nobuyuki has made significant and ongoing contributions to Sophia University’s research development and the support of students and researchers.
He graduated from the Department of Biology, Faculty of Science, Chiba University, and received his MS and PhD from the University’s Graduate School of Science and Technology. He has held positions as a research associate and associate professor at the Faculty of Science and Technology at Sophia University, with his current role since 2014. His research areas include plant molecular biology and physiology, and functional biochemistry.
